My Bayahibe Excursion

They hooked me up with an all inclusive Bayahibe excursion package which included the resort (wow!) and several day trips out into the area. It also include the boat ride I took out to Catalinta Island which is part of the “Dream Islands” which I can truthfully say they earned their name. When I was planning my trip to Pollensa with my husband for our holiday this year, one of the first things that we wanted to do was figure out just where we were going to stay while on our trip. We had read a lot of travel reviews online where many people recommended to stay in a holiday villa Pollensa if at all possible. I knew that these would probably tend to be a bit more expensive than just getting a basic hotel, but we were really looking to be able to make the most out of this experience and so we were okay with spending a little extra if we could find a villa that we really liked. My Paris Vacation

For my mother’s 60th birthday, I decided to take her to Paris. She had been to Paris as a young lady and had always wanted to relive the romance and excitement of those days, and I thought it would be the perfect vacation for the both of us. Unfortunately for me, I experienced the worst jet lag of my life. I had difficulty staying awake, and I became very ill. I broke out in a rash and ran a fever. I ended up staying in our Paris hotel suite while my mother went out and enjoyed the city. Every day she brought back souvenirs of her exciting adventures while I lay in bed watching television and ordering room service. I managed to finally get well two days before we were scheduled to leave for home, so I called and changed our airplane reservations to allow me an extra couple of days. Our last few days in Paris were grand, but most importantly, my mother truly enjoyed her birthday gift.

The Semuliki National Park

Uganda safaris to Semuliki national park will take you to a basically forested park which represents the eastern most edge of the large Ituri Forest of Congo. The Semuliki national park is located in western Uganda and its headquarters are at Ntandi, about 52kms on Fort Portal- Bundibugyo road. Semliki is 221kilometers squared in size and is one of the richest areas for both flora and fauna in Africa most especially birds. Travelling from Fort Portal to the park provides a spectacular view of the Rwenzori Mountains, meandering Semuliki River and steaming Sempaya hot springs. The Semliki River is a preferred watering point for many animals residing in the park. Chimpanzee tracking, bird watching and short guided walking safaris to the hot springs, forest and pygmies are the major activities in the park. Accommodation can be sought at Ntandi or the nearby towns of Bundibugyo and Fort Portal. Animals living in the park include elephant, leopard, buffalo, civet, scaly tailed flying squirrel, and bush baby. There are almost 300 species of butterflies, about 400 species of birds, and 8 species of primates.
