Practicing For The Pool Tournament
Here in the small town I live in we have pool tournaments every Wednesday night at the only pool hall in town. I ‘ve been playing in these tournaments since I was nineteen. It is only five bucks to enter and the prize is a hundred bucks. Nothing big, but like I said, its a small town.
So last night after shopping for a new discount pool table to replace my ten year old one, I head with my friend Brett to the pool hall. It’s the usual crowd for a Tuesday, so I get some practice in playing eight ball. We order some beer and start practicing for the weekly tournament the next night and we find out that the prize tomorrow night is a whopping one thousand dollars! They are actually having a few semi pro players in town for the tournament and the stakes are a bit higher than normal, along with the entrance fee going up to fifty bucks.
Me and Brett have our work cut out for us tommorrow night.
